An 18-year-old Grand Ronde tribal member presents her senior project on Native American perspectives of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. She discusses the expedition's role in opening the West to settlement, the subsequent displacement and termination of Grand Ronde peoples, their 1983 restoration, and ongoing efforts to revitalize tribal language, culture, and identity. She also demonstrates jingle dress dancing and performs songs in Chinook Wawa and Lakota.
